Along with changing seasons (and the palpable excitement of waiting for the leaves to change – spoiler – they are still green at my house), I’m just starting to plan year end for my clients.
This is the perfect time of year to request W9s from your contractors, and to double check that books are up to date and any last questions are being resolved. My version of a nightmare – trying to decipher old questions while the CPA is requesting final reports.
KHB added a few bloggers last month. We have our “BB” – Baby Bookkeeper, Kathie, who is working through learning books for the first time, and we also have an old friend and veteran retailer, Leah Swain, who has joined us in her own exclusive “Nellie” series of help posts. These posts follow the timeline of the typical retail establishment, and will help our real life clients learn how to do many things in QuickBooks Software Point of Sale in a way that is uniquely Leah.
Flash back to last month.
Katie: “Hey Lee, can you help me with the blog? I need a post that will help people with Point of Sale.”
Leah: “Sure thing! Like what?”
Katie: “Anything, really. Maybe something general to start?”
Two weeks later I open my email to a 24 – 24 – page Word doc following Nellie and her husband through the opening of their very own bakery. Wow. I can’t wait to read the next one myself. I love stories!
